Domestic Farm Animals:

coop-saleDomestic farm animals are permitted on single family and duplex lots in residential zones. Lots less than 7,000 sq ft. have 18 animal points that may be used in accordance with the chart below. Lots which are between 7,000 sf. ft. and 21,780 sq. ft. have 45 animal points. Lots over 21,780 sq. ft. have 45 points, plus one additional point for each 500 sq. ft. over 21,780.Information regarding points allowed for lots over 1/2 acre can be obtained by contacting the Community Development Department.

Effective October 2018, the keeping of domestic farm animals no longer requires a permit or inspection.
