We are excited to announce that earlier this year, the City entered into an agreement with Gateway Parks for a tubing/winter operation at Eaglewood Golf Course.
The intent of Gateway Parks is to feature snow sport experiences and activities that were once only available in distant resort communities. Gateway Parks Eaglewood will include a snow tubing operation as well as a ski and snowboard experience at a reasonable price. Families looking to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time will have a great place to do that close to home.
The mix of traditional snow sports and snow tubing will be exciting for every member of the family and a great addition to Eaglewood.
Will there be enough snow? Yes! Gateway Parks is known as a non-stop tubing hill that always has snow thanks to top-of-the-line snow making machines. Equipment has already been delivered to Eaglewood, and crews are beginning to build the area designated for these operations.
Spectators can watch the action from a large gazebo with picnic tables as well as a fire pit at the base of the hill. Concessions will also be available.
The Gateway Parks section of the golf course is a separate operation. Select areas of the golf course will still be available for public access during the snow/winter season.
